WHAT IS REIKI DISTANCE HEALING AND HOW DOES IT WORK?Distance healing is when the practitioner sends Reiki energy to the receiver with intent. It is just as powerful as having a one on one session. It is very helpful especially when the patient is unable to come to the clinic to receive their session. Many patients who opt for this kind of treatment because of circumstance or when they are physically unable to meet with the practitioner for their session. HOW IS A REIKI SESSION PERFORMED?Some Reiki practitioners schedule the time when the session is to happen. Others will send the energy to be available when the receiver can or wants to receive it (based on intent again). Normally Reiki energy is sent to the person as such but it is also possible to send energy to specific problems. When a practitioner performs distance healing, usually the client sits or lies comfortably, fully clothed. The practitioner will use a recent picture of the client as a medium for the Reiki energy flow. Also, the practitioner will use special Reiki symbols to connect to the client's aura and will place his / her hands on the client's picture. Using mental commands the practitioner will direct the Reiki energy in the areas of the client's body, aura and mind that he/she wants to help. It is similar of using the 12 to 15 different hand positions. HOW LONG IS A REIKI DISTANCE HEALING SESSION?A distant healing session is usually shorter, around 30-60 minutes.
